Book an information call

Perhaps, as you read our information, you feel much as we did when we first heard about the Coimbra Protocol. Alongside thoughts like “surely this all sounds too good to be true?”, we asked ourselves whether and exactly how this therapy really works, what it would mean for us as patients, how best to integrate it into your own life, how to put the lifestyle changes mentioned into practice, where to find trained doctors — and much more. Back then we had the opportunity to exchange experiences with other long-term patients, and that gave us hope and confidence.

That is precisely why, since 2017, we have offered patient-to-patient advice sessions ourselves. On the one hand, you can book an individual information and orientation call with us. We share our personal experiences with the Coimbra Protocol and give you the most important information to help you decide whether this path might be the right one for you too. Beyond that, some of us work directly with certified protocol doctors: before the first appointment we explain the treatment on the doctors’ behalf, in patient-friendly language, and answer practical questions about putting the therapy into practice. We also take on part of the medical history and the necessary explanation and documentation for some doctors. Many of our “patient guides” have additional qualifications as naturopaths, psychotherapists, nutritional advisers, orthomolecular therapists or neuromodulation experts. However, we do not offer any treatment with the Coimbra Protocol without working together with a certified protocol doctor.

Here you will find an overview and further information about our patient guides, and you can book an appointment directly (advice is usually given by Zoom video call, at a uniform hourly rate of €150):

In my “first life before MS”, I worked in international companies in the field of human resources and coaching, most recently as an employed head of HR and later, part-time, as a management consultant and HR interim manager. Alongside this, from 2005 I ran a part-time psychotherapy practice for stress prevention and trauma therapy as a naturopath for psychotherapy. In 2015 I sadly had to give up both professions and, because of my escalating multiple sclerosis, was granted an incapacity pension. Then, at the lowest point of my illness in the autumn of 2015, I discovered the Coimbra Protocol and got in touch with Dr Cicero G. Coimbra. With his help I was able to be treated as one of the first patients in Germany, by my GP Dr Kai Reichert (from 03/2016). After only 8 months, my previously highly active SPMS came to a standstill in the autumn of 2016. Over several years, a partial healing process in the brain and spinal cord was visible on MRI, which led to a reduction in many of my symptoms.

Since 2017 I have been able to work part-time again; I flew to São Paulo with Dr Reichert in 2017 and 2018 for training with Dr Cicero G. Coimbra, and built up the German-speaking network for the Coimbra Protocol. My motivation is to spare other patients the ordeal I had to go through myself, and hopefully to help them halt their disease early on with the Coimbra Protocol. Together with Dr Beatrix Schweiger, from 2018 I therefore organised training courses for doctors, created the Coimbra Protocol website, and in 2019, together with Britta Maier-Peveling, founded the non-profit Coimbraprotokoll gUG. My advisory work with patients and my collaboration with the first Coimbra Protocol doctors also began in 2017, and by 2026 I have already been able to accompany nearly 3,000 patients on their journey into the Coimbra Protocol.

In addition to information calls and initial consultations on the Coimbra Protocol, I also offer advice on non-invasive neuromodulation. For this I work above all with the Synaptikum München practice of Dr Johannes Demuth. In my practice for stress prevention and trauma therapy, I have also, since 2005, supported people through existential crises and periods of change, and I teach meditation and relaxation methods.

My consultations take place by Zoom video call or by telephone; the hourly rate is €150 per 60 minutes. Book here: https://www.terminland.de/C.Kiening/

For more than 30 years I have accompanied people — first as an entrepreneur, and today with my passion for holistic health. As a managing director and board member in the IT industry, I successfully led companies for over three decades, built up teams and managed staff. This many years of experience in leadership, communication and personal development forms the foundation of my work today.

In 2019, my progressive MS — my own health challenge — fundamentally changed the course of my life. Since then I have been a Coimbra Protocol patient myself, and I have been able to experience how valuable well-founded knowledge, competent support and new perspectives can be. Out of this personal experience grew the wish to pass on exactly what I would have wished for myself back then: orientation, understanding and the certainty that you don’t have to walk the path alone.

Out of deep gratitude for my own journey, I today accompany people with professional competence, empathy and an eye for the whole person. My aim is to make lasting change possible and to support people on their individual path towards greater quality of life and inner strength.

Claudia Herold, born 1974, 14558 Nuthetal

Midwife, naturopath and graduate of the Master’s programme in micronutrient therapy and regulatory medicine (FHM Bielefeld). Trained as a Coimbra Protocol patient guide in 2024 by Christina Kiening. MS patient, successfully treated with the Coimbra Protocol since 2020.

Advice on site or online by video call: GAMEDI practice, Arthur-Scheunert-Allee 2, Haus 2, 14558 Nuthetal. — Appointments by personal arrangement, phone or email.

For many years I have accompanied women through pregnancy and birth as a midwife; in addition, I am trained and licensed as a naturopath. I further broadened my knowledge as a graduate of the Master’s programme in micronutrient therapy and regulatory medicine at FHM Bielefeld — ideal for a deeper understanding of orthomolecular therapies such as the Coimbra Protocol.

Today I work mainly as a naturopath in my own practice. My focuses are: introductory consultations for people interested in the Coimbra Protocol and for patients, micronutrient analyses (laboratory-based) and the creation of individual micronutrient formulations, cell training for more energy (“artificial altitude training” using IHHT, intermittent hypoxia and hyperoxia therapy), gut diagnostics and gut rehabilitation, as well as acupuncture and acute taping.

I am an MS patient myself and have been treated successfully with the Coimbra Protocol since 2020. It gives me great joy to pass on my own experiences and my concentrated specialist knowledge, so that other patients with autoimmune diseases too can be enabled to live a healthier life!
